"Wow. This book is beyond amazing. Believe me, when I say it. Just believe me and read this story. You won’t be disappointed. I’ve read a lot of books about grief and loss but this book is one of the most complete, most amazing books ever. It’d be so easier to say I’m totally speechless. This story totally took my breath away. It was my first book from Heidi Lis, but if I knew she writes with such a power, I’d grabbed her other stories way more earlier. Her writing style is hands down amazing. The way she built up the story…well, let me say my jaw hit the floor, not just once. My Review:
This is book two in the series and it is just as jam pact of thrill, emotions, and passion as the first book, if not more so. The book starts off literally right where the first book ends which is a great refresher if you are not reading them back to back - it pulls you back in and never lets you go until it is finished. I love the fast pace of the events in the book.  There are a few down moments, but Severance is mostly an emotional go, go, go book and a perfect addition to the first book.


As with the first book, Falter, Nevaeh is a strong willed girl who fights for what she believes in.  In book two, Nevaeh is no different.  She tries to save the souls of those that she loves and means the most to her all while trading her soul over to evil.  She puts up one hell of a fight to not let the evil take complete control of her soul, but sometimes the evil was stronger than she was. While Nevaeh is fighting to save her would be father and her friend's souls, Archard, her love, is attempting to save Nevaeh's soul.  It is a battle that is not short lived or easily won.


I would recommend this book and series and cannot wait to see what else Haven Cage has up her sleeve.

Haven Cage lives in the Carolinas with her husband and son. After many years of dabbling with drawing, painting, and working night shift in the medical field, she decided to try her hand at writing. Unfortunately, her love for books came later in life and proved to add a healthy challenge during her writing journey. Determined to hone her craft though, she soaks up as much information as she can, spends her free time tapping away in her favorite local coffee shop, and keeps a good book in hand whenever possible.

What began as a hobby has grown into a way of escape and the yearning to take her journey farther, her love for writing and reading deepening along the way.

Interview: Author Dzintra Sullivan

Biography: Hello, I am BATMAN..... -laughing-... I just always wanted to say that.
I am happily married to an amazing Canadian man and a mother of four delightful children. i fell in love with books as a young girl, reading Judy Blume and Enid Blyton. i progressed onto loving the supernatural genre as a teenager and never left.

I live up in the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia, where the weather is always warm and sunny.

It has always been a dream to write a book, but i have never had the self belief that i could. until i celebrated my 40th birthday. it hit me, "now or never" so I pulled on my big girl panties, picked up a pen and paper and didn't look back.

"The Halfway House Series" is my debut series.
Where family isn't always blood related, and the impossible love is possible if you believe.

1.   What inspires your writing? People, people are the biggest inspiration for my writing. 
2.   Have you always wanted to be an author? I am a very creative person and have always loved the written word, but only recently decided to out my creativity into creating books. 
3.   Who are your favorite authors? I have so many, it would be impossible to name just a few. 
4.   What would you say to someone who is just starting out as a writer? Write from the heat and get a thick skin. Not everyone will like your work, but if you like it, it's all that matters. 
5.   Do you ever put any part of yourself in you characters? People have told me they recognise me in some books... 
6.   How old where you when your first book was published? I was 40, in 2014
7.   How many books have you written? What are their titles? I have written the series "The Halfway House" it contains five books so far with another two to follow. I have also been a part of a book called "A Tale Well Travelled" which is a multi author, multi genre, choose your own ending. (It's amazing, try it) 
8.   Do you have any more books coming out? What are their titles? At the moment my WIP is book one is a brand new series about a family of royal water dragon brothers. The Apalala clan novels will begin with book one "Immersion" in early 2017 
9.   What do you hope readers take from your books? I how they find a fun and creative place to escape for. The world. I hope they come away with a feeling of belonging to my family. 
10. What do you do to get ready to write? ipod music and munchies.
11. Do you ever get writers block? What helps you  get past it? I have not suffered this yet. If my characters aren't talking I don't force them, I write when they talk. It's easier that way. 
12. What is your favorite type of book to read? Does that type influence your books? I am a paranormal romance lover, anything that involved fantasy and paranormal creatures, especially if it involved them living in a human world.

Biography: Obscured  was C. M.'s debut novel. What began as a way to spend her free time slowly transitioned into a passion for writing. She's currently working on her fourth novel.  The best is yet to come!
