Daughtry bit her lip as she took in the way his jeans cupped his butt.
“Because if you don’t stop.” He stepped into his boots then closed the distance between them. “I’ll have you naked and propped on that shelf in two seconds flat.
Her gut clenched — in a good way, in the best way.
“Oh.”
She wanted that too. They couldn’t. Wait, they already had. But not again. Not right now.
A gleam entered his eyes.
“Cody—“
“Shh.”
He eliminated the last few inches between them.

He pressed his chest against hers, pushed her against a rack of shelves—
